Love the texture and depth, but I'd like to see more detail in the egret. It's a bit overexposed.

I agree, 100%.
No one would have any doubt that the egret is the subject, so it should have texture throughout the highlights.

However, I could easily believe that the problem is posterization from the compression.

I was curious as what a 100% crop would look like. Not that good.
Could not improve on highlights.
