Pictures look different in different browsers

I've noticed that my pictures after processing and uploading to Flickr appear just as I expect when viewed in Safari, but don't look anywhere as good in Firefox. Why is this?

its not just web browsers, my photos look different between DPP, Photoshop and Windows PhotoViewer. and yes they also look different between my PC LCD and notebook!

DPP and PS should look the same.
Windows PhotoViewer isn't color managed I think.

Did you set the proper monitor profile in DPP? Look in the link from my sig.
