NICE, i like 5 and 7.

are you a phtographer? how were you able to get on ground level.

for pic number 5...how do you shoot this?

when the batter gets up and the pitcher starts to throw...do you just take 20 shots and hope for the best?

thanks

Tom - I was hire to help cover an event for a local radio station. The radio station charter a bus and 50 of its listeners from Houston to Arlington. A co-photog and I were asked to photograph the days event. In addition the radio station issued us photo creds to shoot the game and a concert following the game.

LOL, no 20 shots. What I do is shoot with boths eyes open. Since I was shooting from the 3rd base side, I focus my right open through the camera & lense. My left eye is on the pitcher. With practice and good timing I'll shoot in 3 or 5 round bursts.

Some of them seem a little overly saturated for my tastes.

My opinions:
1- Meh..Its neat I guess
2- Id like it MUCH more if it was a tighter crop.
3- Standard pitcher stuff
4- Would have been absolutely amazing if you had a faster shutter speed IMO.
5- Broken bat. I suppose its not something you see all the time.
6- No face and the ball is hard to find at first.
7- I think this could again benefit from a tighter crop to get rid of some distracting background and foreground. Its still only OK because the guy is clearly safe so its not really telling much of a story. Its also not very dynamic (if that makes sense). Theres no dirt flying up, no strained expressions..It kinda just looks like a guy laying on the ground as the 1B catches a ball.
8- Cropped foot. It could also be a better if you brightened up the area under the helmet.

Nice collection though. A tight #2 would be my favorite by far.
