I recently purchased a Chinese knock-off 77mm adapter to use my Cokin P square GND filter (which I like better than a round GND) with my lenses which take 77mm filters.

When I perused the eBay store of the supplier of this filter, I found lots and lots of Chinese produce equipment. Much of which is being offered at prices way below the OEM equipment.

Please don't get into a "AVOID CHINESE PRODUCTS" tirade.

I have no connection with this supplier except being a satisfied customer but, I have added the site to "my favorites" in case a need another low priced accessory.

Thanks for the link, but your thread title is misleading. By "rip-off", I thought you meant that you were ripped-off by some Chinese products.

But genuinely, thanks for the link. I've always purchased Chinese knock-off items when quality wasn't really in question (such as these adapters, optical slaves, diffusers, etc.). I assume most "brand name" ones get it from the same Chinese suppliers anyway. I actually have been looking for a place that sold cheap cokin adapters, since it's ridiculous how much they charge for the genuine item. Good to know you've had good experience with these guys.
