I haven't seen any posts about this, but what would be a good method and/or product to clean lenses?

Obviosuly something that wouldn't scratch it, but are there any bloody obvious methods of ensuring a really good clean?

Hmmm, can't imagine there aren't any threads about cleaning lenses... ;)

Blower, brush then tissue/solution.

I am not saying there aren't any....but with so many new posts on here in the hour, everything gets shoved deeper and deeper into oblivion.

So as well as the blower/brushing and tissue on the lens, what about to clean any tiny dried up water marks on the lens? Cleaning wipes?

So let's just start a new one, instead? Just do an advanced search on "clean lens" in the lens forum. ;)

You can use a lens tissue w/cleaning fluid or a pre-moistened wipe.

That's all the OP was looking for, no need to hassle him about starting a new thread!

I wasn't trying to "hassle" anyone. Just that this topic has been covered from six ways 'til Sunday and everyone has a different method. No need to start another long thread with them all, going back and forth. Every new thread just means that many more to wade through in the future when someone searches. ;)

I figured in the interest of gaining the most information as fast as possible, that searching might be a good idea. That's why it's there. No offense meant to the OP.

That is ok ;);), I'll mentally make a note and give as good as I get next time.

Actually I was acting an utter NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB and forgot all about the search command. Some interesting bits out there. But you know, times and products do move on...I am sure there are some utter noobs out there, who are foolish enough to use sandpaper to clean a lens before someone points out the obvious. I just wanted to know what others did, over and beyond cleaning the dust with a brush.
