I use a 580 for fill flash often, would the 200L hood block the flash ? If so, if there a work around without going off camera ? Thanks.

The hood shouldn't get in the way unless you're pretty close to the subject.

But they do make the flash brackets that puts the hot shoe higher or off to the side and up.

Never really used my 580s on camera when using this lens, but I'm assuming you can. Although I only used off camera 580, I don't think it'd actually get in the way.

Time to send my latest acquisition back to the Canon mothership. Needs a re-chip as the IS is rattling when used on my 5D3.

Yeah, I'll need to drop it off. Problem is trying to find some time to do so. Would've loved to drop it off tomorrow but I have a feeling they won't be open on Monday.

And I have baby #2 due sometime this week. So I guess I'll have to wait a few months. *sigh* Or I'll need to ship it in. hehehe

That sounds great:):D.... that 35 summilux takes really awesome pictures..

Just back from the Fla Keys and shot with the 35 1.4 lux and a good friends M9.

AMAZING. The only wide angle glass I have ever shot with thats in the same sharpness league as the 200 2L. Destroys my 35L...

Check some of the images here.

Finally ordered this lens from my local camera shop. Hope the IS noise phenomenon is all sorted and I don't get unlucky with old inventory.
