I am going to use it today with both of my extenders and see the results.

Really looking forward to these results!

My 200 f2 works great with the 1.4 and 2.0 Canon II but when I stack them it hunts right at the point of focus. This is with the 40d.

The speed and accuracy of focus is very fast with the Canon 2.0 or 1.4 on their own and both seem very sharp.

I tried center point single shot and the green box (all points), I did acheived focus a few time but almost never (stacked). This may be different on a FF body.

I'm not sure, but the 40D may only AF with the center focus point at f/5.6. Did you try the center point only?

Yes, center point won't work when stacked. I will try more test later on but I tried this several times.

^ Is there some kind of issue with the 40D and TCs? This is the second time I've heard of it in as many days... The other with the 100-400mm and a taped Kenko TC (which should work, but doesn't).

The 200mm f/2L IS even with stacked converters [I]should[/B] work!

Nice lens, I was at a CPS day and had a try of one of the production samples. The weight is reasonable and very sharp, the prices though is another thing.

Full shot Canon 1dmk3 200mm f2 @f2.8
