The speed and accuracy of focus is very fast with the Canon 2.0 or 1.4 on their own and both seem very sharp. I tried center point single shot and the green box (all points), I did acheived focus a few time but almost never (stacked). This may be different on a FF body. I'm not sure, but the 40D may only AF with the center focus point at f/5.6. Did you try the center point only? Josh Smith
