With all other things being equal ;
If I were to publish a 500 x 500 pixel crop from an image from a xti, a 5D, and a Ds MkIII, how significant would the IQ differences be?

You have to also consider the pixel size and the bit depth of the processor as well. More size = lower noise from a single pixel. More bit depth = more levels of grayscale (more realistic rendition) and/or wider dynamic range. You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! Am I to infer Wilt that the more expensive that pixel/sensor/body the better the IQ in the aforementioned crop, again with all other things being equal? The things you do for yourself die with you, the things you do for others live forever.

The larger the pixel the lower the noise...it has nothing to do with the expense of the camera! You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! That's about what I figured Wilt, thanks for the specific answer. The things you do for yourself die with you, the things you do for others live forever.
