Do you consider this one soft or sharp (17-40mm f4 L)?

I have one Canon 17-40mm f4 L for sale and was asked to provide samples at F/4.0 so I went outside this morning and took two snapshots, both with JPG setting, straight out of camera (no post processing). Overcast day with wind about 10mph.
Now I don't know what to compare to since this is only wide angle I have. Others are 50mm prime, 100mm macro, and 24-105mm f4 L, not sure comparison to these means much. So what's your opinion here (especially other 17-40mm owners/users)?

Appreciate it.
