too yellow, and your border is uneven on the sides, making it look bad.

yea the uneven frame makes it look odd. sky seems a bit washed out, I like the composition though

Pretty nice city shot, except for the crane, which I would clone out.

Cool it down a touch. Level the horizon perhaps 1 degree CW. A little more contrast.

The composition rocks! I'm not a fan of the tint. It's softer and less saturated than I would have liked, but that's because I tend to compare everything to the sharpened and saturated pics that appear in National Geographic magazine.

The borders are of such little interrest to me that I didn't even notice the oddity in yours. Frankly, I was more concerned with the image and camera technique. Crop out the border if it bothers you. As for me, it doesn't matter--keep it or crop it out.

ghosh, I noticed in your sig that you have "L" glass. I have just now placed an order for the 70-200 f4 L and I was wondering if you could give me an idea on what I can expect to gain from results compared to the kit lens. Will the performance gain over the kid lens be worth the bucks for someone who has a fair knowlege of photoshop?

ThanX

Believe me its million times. You will never need to use USM in Photoshop, you will never need to increase saturation. Just shoot in raw and select the appropriate choice while converting. The blue picture above is a tungsten conversion.

I took this picture one afternoon when sun was behind the clouds making the light soft and diffused. This is straight from the camera to my gallery. If you notice carefully you will see that any increase in sharpness or saturation will make it over processed.

hope this helps,
thanks

You mean i should crop a bit? When I took this pic I had a similar thought but could not go to close as that would make this people conscious that I am taking their picture.

not a crop, just getting physically closer. just take shots as you get closer. if they end up noticing you, you'd probably have the shot by then.

Or else, put a 3x extender on that big 70-200 L that he has
