Are there any better 40D deals then this?

I have the 40D in my gold box with the lens for $1093.07...and I believe there is no tax or shipping, correct? I originally bought it from best buy last week for $1399.19, and that was after a coupon so it is still sitting here in the box, waiting to be returned tonight.
So, before I hit the buy button on amazon, is there any better price out there for the kit that I might have missed?

A little high. I think $930.00 - $950.00 is the current price point on this body with rebate.

The price I mentioned includes the 28-135mm lens, this isn't just for the body.

Well that makes a difference. I don't know how you could go wrong with that price. If there is a better price I doubt that the difference would amount to much. Better not let it get away.

I did take advantage of it, thanks :)

Man, I wish I had the gold box. Bought mine with shipping for 976$. (body only) If I had the gold box, I would have bought it with the lens kit. Oh well, got trigger happy but still saving a lot from what I will have to pay in Canada.

Jump on it now... as others have said.
That price is just $100 over what I paid for just the body (after rebate).
By the way, I was told that all "authorized" dealers must turn in their portion of the warranty papers... As it was explained to me, they still charge the dealers in the $1200 range so for them to sell for say $1000 they get the rebate.
Just my experience.
Again, on topic grab it now, that lens is well over the 100 difference I paid.

Wow,
I just checked my recommended account items from Amazon and they have the 40D with kit lens for $1054...
Well, I waited and waited and pulled the trigger about 3 weeks ago, still a good deal. But $1054 (plus shipping but no tax) is a GREAT deal.

:::showoff::: Just kidding! I'm happy with the deal I got, I wonder why they offered it to you cheaper?
My Order Grand Total: $1,093.07
Where did you get yours from? If it was amazon they may credit you if you call them.

Wish I could say I was showing off:lol:
I actually paid more plus tax at at local retailer about 3 weeks ago... so it goes, I guess.
Sooo If you're patient, I think the Amazon deals will start rolling in.
Best of luck to all,
Ram

I have never had to get an ajustment from amazon but I heard they give you a price adjustment if it goes cheaper in 30 days so I am checking every day lol.
How are you liking your 40D? I was just getting used to the XTi... my son has a tournament this weekend, I so hope I can learn the 40D in one day LOL.
