I have a Canon EOS Rebel XTI. I don't know why but only 55 of 188 photos will upload onto my computer. What can I do?

Welcome to POTN.

Did you use a card reader or did you use the usb cable connected to your camera?

There are at least two totally different and independent ways to upload images from your camera to a Windows machine.

One of those ways requires 3 pages of instructions in the User's Guide. The other way is to put the CF card into an appropriate card reader and use the same procedures as would be used for any file transfer from a storage device to the hard drive.

Unless you can be more specific as to what method you are using, we can only guess as to what might go wrong. However, if you were shooting a large percentage of your pictures as RAW + JPEG, please note that the combination of the RAW file plus the JPEG file is only counted as 1 file by the transfer software.
