I was at football today and took a bunch of pictures... When I got home, a ton of them were really blury.... I like either my camera or lens isn't focusing right?? Anyone have any suggestions about what might cause either of these problems?? Here's an example of what they looked like....

What's the exif? Your shutter speed was way to slow.

Did I just get RickRolled?

Well at f/32, you should have had more DOF.:D

And a shutter speed of 1/(1.6 x 200) = 1/320 might have helped some.;)

Were you by any chance using the P setting or something counter-clockwise from P?

For FL = 200 mm, I'd probably use 1/400 or 1/500 in Tv mode.

Here is the EXIF..You don't have a focus issue,,your shutterspeed is way too sloooowwww..

Make = Canon
Model = Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT
Exposure Time = 1/50"
F Number = F32
Exposure Program = Shutter priority
ISO Speed Ratings = 400

For sports etc you need a shutterspeed of atleast 1/500th sec to freeze the action unless you are shooting for an effect..

I use the Firefox extension FXiF to view EXIF and it shows up fine. The problem here is obvious, shooting sports at f/32 is always going to result in poor shutter speeds at 200mm, ISO400.

You were using Tv mode... should have had it CRANKED as fast as it would go. I think you turned the dial the wrong way...\

PS I'm using Opera, but if you can't see the EXIF, just save it to your desktop and right-click properties and advanced ;)

Oops, I missed that.

So the OP simply used the wrong shutter speed. 1/50 @ f/32 and ISO 400.

A shutter speed 3 stops faster = 1/300 second and yields f/11 for ISO 400.

1/600 second and f/8 or something similar would work.
