Hey there you guys.
I'd like to get some opinions on this border.
Such as, the text, colors, size, overall layout etc.

I like the border, just wish it was all the way around the photo. However, I'm not sure if that is because that is just what I'm used to seeing. The font/signature is nice.

For some reason, this border makes me feel as if I'm looking at a digital post card. I prefer a border that wraps all the way around as well. The text is fine.

Ditto...to me having the border that way looks like someone chopped off the sides by accident or something. Just my opinion (well...in this case, apparently not since others agree) it just doesn't look right to me.

Peace,
Jim

I agree it looks a little chopped but think you can get away from that by just removing the top. It has a minimalist feel to it I really like. Simple and elegant.

I've never really been a fan of the all four side border, so I wanted something a little different. However, I totally see where you guys are coming from.

Any thoughts on the bottom only border would be great.

Thanks
Bob

Ha, thanks for the photo critique.
However I was looking for opinions on the border, those were just two random shots I pulled out to test it on.

Thanks
Bob

The second one is better. I think I find it distracting. My eye gets drawn to your name because it's the brightest thing in the frame, but I'm trying to picture it with other pictures too, and it just seems like I might be distracted by the separation. Because you have a picture, and then you have another "picture" underneath it all by it's lonesome. It's not a bad idea, I just can't think of a direction to go with it to suggest how to improve it.

is the white keyline leading anybody else's eyes out of the picture?

I like the keyline. It gives some edge to the composition. I wonder how it would look with a lighter subject.

I guess I just feel like it's too hard edged and strict and in such stark contrast to the pictures that are free, flowing, soft, and open. Maybe even just a different font would work. I just keep coming back to "this could be great, I just can't put my finger on exactly what I don't like".

Thanks for everything you guys.
Just an fyi, feel free to edit the border/ image to show me how you would like it done.

I'll throw up a lighter shot in the morning. I'm off to bed now.

Thanks
Bob
