For under $40 I think they are worth a shot. My master flash is a 580ex II, my slaves I dont have yet but probably vivitar or something else that isnt too expensive. More info | May 21, 2008 11:25 | #2 I have used both the V2 and V2s with the 580EX II and have had no issues with either - they both had comparable misfiring rates for me. Cactus transmitter & receiver are under $50, why spend $140 more if they work fine? If you rely on these to make money that's one thing, but then you will probably spend more than $190, but for most of us, for whom this is only a hobby, the cactus triggers are one of the best values in photography.
