Considering the shape my primary car is in after the interesting 'situations' I've put it through...

I'd say my camera gear would sell for much more than my car. I love both though, been through a lot with both camera and car!

I paid more for my Fuji P&S than I paid for my vehicle.

Well that's the average, there are loads of two-bed flats for over $1m, and according to the lists produced last week, there are four roads within 500yds of me that consist of houses that average over $5m. And if you want more than 4 bedrooms.....
I'm thankful I don't live in London though!
Imagine the camera gear for that much :D

Just totally bananas in my book. It would be a cold day in you know where that I would even live in a city, let alone get ripped off that badly to live like a prisoner to the city lifestyle. For that kinda money, I could own 1000 acres of the best farmland in Canada and not have any neighbours in site, not to mention rental of the land would buy a new car, truck, snowmobile and camera gear every year.

Your camera is alot smarter than the "M" Zealots would have you believe

I don't pay for my car, so yes I have spent more on my camera gear. (Company benefit)
