I just got intuos 3 6x8 wacom tablet.
Is there tips and trick of using this?
good settings?

I think, I might just need to practice more.

I'm having a hard time adjusting to it.

what do you set your express key to??

I have a bamboo fun and the only hot key I really use that I have set up on it is for a new layer. I also have my brush size increase and decrease set up for the button on the side of my stylus. You'll get a hang of it in time. To me it's just like drawing with a pencil and I find using it fairly simple. I don't know what I'd do without it.

open photoshop, start doodling, writing, anything that you would normally use a pen for outside of the PC

you'll get the hang of it in about 30 mins :)

Did you read the interactive Intuos3 User Manual that's on the CD? Almost any question you could have about the tablet and stylus is already answered there. It also includes an exercise to get you accustomed to using the tablet and stylus.

I have my tablet keys heavily customized but it doesn't make sense to post my settings since what works for me wouldn't necessarily work for you. For example, I changed the function of the rocker switch so that the front button activates a pop-up menu with the Photoshop commands I use most often. In Firefox, I have the stylus configured to use mouse gestures.

You just have to play around with the various options that are available through the Wacom Tablet Utility (which I assume you installed).

The best tutorial I've come across is PhotoshopSecrets: Wacom Tablets and Photoshop CS3 (external link) by Colin Smith. I have both the CS2 and CS3 versions and they not only teach you about the tablet, but also quite a lot about Photoshop, especially about the Brush Engine. Plus Colin shows you what he thinks are "best practices" for integrating a tablet into your Photoshop use. But all the basic information about tablet in the tutorial is also in the user manual.

Terry White also has a podcast on using the tablet but its quite basic: http://creativesuitepodcast.com/index.php?post_id=267498 (external link)
