Canon A590IS Marcro mode

Hi everyone im a newbie to this forum & need some help please. I just purchased the Canon A590IS camera and im trying to take some Macro
photos w/ my new camera. I can get the camera into Macro mode but after ive taken the photo the picture is too lite because of the brightness
of the flash is there a way i can correct this problem....All help will be

not sure..does the camera have manula mode,,in M mode can u change shutter speed,iso and fumbers?
can u change fec on it?

if u can then use - fec...not sure what your camara can do tho as i only know how to use SLRs.
