A friend has asked me to takes some shots for his wedding party this weekend. I will be using my 30D + EF17-55 IS f2.8 + EF70-200 L IS f2.8 + Speedlite 430EX. What are the best settings to use with regard to exposure?

When in Manual, should I set the aperture and adjust the shutter speed, or set the shutter speed and adjust the aperture? Much of this will be shot in a Marquee. Doesn't matter which you do first, the settings I posted I would recommend are minimum. Fire the flash upwards to give some nice light if its not too high.
