Can someone please advise me on a good lighting system that I can carry outside. I don't want to use a flash connected to my camera - so if anyone knows of a better solution please share. A good link would help as well.

TIA.

First of all, could you please mention what camera you have? Some of the higher end Canon cameras will have a PC sync terminal which can be connected directly to studio flashes. Lower end models will require a hotshoe adaptor+cable.

Possibly also a budget.

Plus what are you looking to do with the system?
