I am the god of all things three-legged. That would include tripods, milking stools, grand pianos, and Gitzo, the three-legged donkey.

I thought Gitzo was a dog.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

We bought my parents' old car when they changed to a newer :) It's a Volvo V70, which will be perfect cause we had planned to go on a car vacation this summer... driving down to Germany.

Nice . . .

Ah....room for luggage and stuff. I love my Volvo....

Both of ours . . .

Volvo V70, That's a really good car (that I really like ;-)a)

We've got an S70 and the 850 which later became the V70. Really like them both.

Nope. Gitzo was/is a three-legged donkey that I sent up to live with IanD. He never came back.

Neither did IanD.

And here's a shot of the new flash... compared to the 430EXs, I would call it strong but dumb :)

Here's a more obscene shot of it ;) (external link) (nsfw?) LOL

You're aware that the 540EZ will only work on the digital bodies in manual? There's no E-TTL or TTL available. This means you have to set the flash each time you take a picture.

Yes, I know. I've got two 430EXs that I can use on the cameras when I need. I wanted more flashes for off camera use, and I also wanted them more powerful. I'm mostly triggering them with Skyports and metering them with the L-358, so I keep everything in manual :) Looking to add another 540EZ or perhaps even two more.

But I don't need to set them for every picture, just when I want a different light ;)

I thought that might be the case. I just thought I'd mention it anyway. I still have a 540EZ which I'm keeping because I still have an EOS 1 film body. I haven's shot any film since I bought my D60 back in 2002 (and I've got a 40D on order) but you never know...

I'd love to see that as an animated gif.
