I think Tom would look good in anyone Avi, but, it just was not the "tom" I'm used to seeing :-)

The 100-400 has a $100 instant rebate on it until July 19!

I am thinking about the new Sigma 150-500 over the 100-400. If Canon updates the 1-4 I might change my mind though. The Siggy is $500 cheaper, is 500mm and has 4-5 stop OS and the IQ seems pretty good. The bokeh is much better on the Siggy than the 1-4 too.

Have a talk to Dave (condyk) - that's an issue he's looked into pretty deeply so he might have an opinion on this.

Yup, I have read all the stuff from Dave, Jojo, and others as well as checked out the shots. I know Dave is not as fond of the 100-400 as others are and that is why he picked up the 150-500 to go along with his 400 prime. He is still on the fence about keeping it, but seems to think it is fairly good, especially for the money.

Yeah, Dave's had a few "bad copies" of the 100-400, but he knows it's a good lens (I know he respects mine as a "good copy").

If he's still got it in a couple of weeks, it'll be an opportunity to give it a comparison (we'll be shooting together again).

Yeah, what he said.

Today is my wife's birthday, too. Maybe you are actually twins separated at birth.

Oh, wait. She's about 48 years older than you.

Never mind.
