70 degrees....right on the nose...a bit of a breeze...my teeth are chattering....break out the extra blankets! Bright and sunny...looks like a perfect winter day.

Actually how is the weather there Dan? It is absolutely gorgeous here today, mid 80's, cloud here and there, blue skies.

I don't know the temp is but there is a COOOL breeze out of the North here... and in the shade it can put a chill on a person! But it's a beautiful sunny day here!!!

I'm off! Mooo later everyone!

Goood Moooooooorning!

I am thinking about the new Sigma 150-500 over the 100-400. If Canon updates the 1-4 I might change my mind though. The Siggy is $500 cheaper, is 500mm and has 4-5 stop OS and the IQ seems pretty good. The bokeh is much better on the Siggy than the 1-4 too.

I've read a lot of good things about that lens. It's looking like an extremely viable option for 500mm

Wow...the daily whiner has sold her Canon gear and gone Noink! Perhaps she will take the drama to one of their forums too!

no!

Dear Lord! I am arguing with a guy that the new Nikon D700 is not an "amateur camera" as Ken Rockwell wrote on his site. Why do I get myself into things like this sometimes?

What a bummer.

Last night I sent the motorsports photographer I was on assignment with 2 photos I had not sent to him previously

http://photo.klein-jensen.dk …l.php?n=20080608_dtc9.jpg (external link)
http://photo.klein-jensen.dk ….php?n=20080608_dtc10.jpg (external link)

I sent that mail quite late so went soon after to bed.

Then this morning I saw he sent me a mail shortly after and asked me if I could send #9 quickly to him (within 15 minutes) because he was abut to deliver an article to a magazine.

Damn since I could not send it until this morning it looks like I missed getting a photo published :( I have not heard from him yet so actually don't know for sure.

 I hate it when I find myself in the midst of something like that.

On another front, DID nikon release the D700? Is it real? The rumor specs looked fantastic.

Perhaps there is hope. Congrats even if it doesn't get in...you now know you have material that can make the grade!
