Hmm.. funny photo. It made me scratch my head just looking at it.

Young bison on the "Dinosaur Tree" at Northwest Trek. The tree has a big hump just above ground level that makes it look like a long necked dinosaur. That little guy must have really had an itch, because he was rubbing that same side of his head on the tree for at least five minutes.

I didn't really hang around to see much more. We had Mariner tickets that night (saw a rare win ), and the park was really going to be packed. There were several buses full of retirees there, in addition to all the other holiday weekend traffic. A whole lot of gray hair and canes were to be seen most everywhere I looked.

Who were they playing, the Padres?

Did you see he rented that 600 and took it to the zoo...now there would be some cool animal portraits but can you imagine lugging that thing around a zoo?

I see lots of people at the Wild Animal Park with 500's or 600's...

this is another thread that ticks me off....the OP posts some fun shots, enjoying his 6.5 fps and gets jumped all over by these "technique slaves" who swear they can nail something on the first shot and the fps are useless What's happening around here that people can't just post something fun without being massacred?

90% of the time, the better shots come after the "perfect" shot in terms of timing. Bat on ball is nice, but a batter leaving the box is usually better in terms of facial expression and emotion.

If people would just act like they talked, and quit trying to force their own ideas down peoples throats that area of the forum would be better off. A lot of people need to get over themselves.

No offense intended, Riley, but I have noticed that a lot of these posters, when they have their age displayed, are usually males between the age of 17 and 30. I sometimes wish display of a person's age in their profile was mandatory...
