I was sort of expecting the third bike to be a Vespa or a Moped. Very nice series so far, Cap'n.

A little something from me.

Love your car shots, Jamie.

They've got a great historics race near hear every year. Unfortunately, it falls on my birthday weekend and the 4th of July weekend, and it's been hard to get out there for it with everything else that's going on.

I'm definitely looking for some car shows to visit this summer. Goodguys has a huge show just down the street from me every year. I think I'll be able to make their Friday show, but Saturday will be my oldest's birthday party, and Sunday we're heading down to Sunriver, Oregon for a family vacation. Think my wife would notice if I wasn't there? ;)

I'd love to shoot a historics event. There is one at Barber Motorsports Park in the fall. Unfortunately we have an event scheduled at work and I will not be able to attend. Why does work get in the way of photography so much? Car shows can be a challenge. That is why most of the time I shoot details. I do think your wife might notice. You better just say "yes dear" and move forward. ;)

Nope not a Nissan. I've not had the luxury to shoot any lately. Thanks BTW.

This was one from the historics event last year:

My dad watched the same corner for a while this year, and saw two wrecks in about a 5 minute span. A Porsche had a wheel fall off ( ), and a Triumph being towed by a pull strap somehow crashed into the tow vehicle ( ). The Triumph ended up riding the flatbed intended for the Porsche, and the Porsche had to wait for a second flatbed to arrive.

I'm with you on the detail shots, too. This was of a '72 Chevelle at last year's Goodguys show.

I've got a ton more from each event, but I don't have them online at the moment.

BTW I really like your car shot Jamie. We have had 3 Rodder Classic shows here in the last month and I have went to all of them and took 100's of shots. I just need to get them edited and post some, but this has been a real off week for me, lots of yard work needed to be done. UGH!

I remember the Historics photo you posted. I have always been a fan of it.
I love shooting details. It is the small thing that we all miss; and those things make a difference when you do see them. That is a very nice shot.
