Every time I take a photo with the flash on my S3 the image appears really bright white in the view finder. I hate taking pictures with flash because of this. Am I just too close to the image or what can I do to stop this, it drives me nuts!

Also using a diffuser on your flash will help, I have a homemade one made with an old film cannister... The ultimate would be to purchase an external flash like the 430ex so you can bounce your flash off of the ceiling instead of having it point straight at your subject. You should post a picture that has this problem with some exif data so people can see what settings you are using so they can help you.

I found with my s3 with normal inside lighting on auto it will still take a good shot. There will be a million reasons why your pics come out the way they do. I've just started to learn how to use the camera's other shooting modes that will enable you to set the camera to brighten or darken before you shoot. If you put a pic up for us to see I'm sure that some one will be able to tell you what you may be doing wrong. s3is,50D,Canon 18-55is,Canon 55-250is,Canon 100mm macro, Nifty Fifty f1.8ii,Sigma 70-200mm f2.8, Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3, tripod, monopod, 4 didgeridoo's.
