430 EX -- Whats that behind the little door?

Can anyone tell me what the little door on the side of the 430 EX is for? It looks like they meant to put a pc connector in there, but....... I have looked at two, and there is nothing there........


(I hope this doesn't turn out to be one of those "stupid" questions....)

I think you mean the bracket connector?

It is the location that I though may be great for adding a sync port to my 430EX. Took apart said 430EX and immediately changed my mind about that. I'm surprised I haven't lost the little door yet.

I did find the description in the manual when I got mine and was wondering the same thing...... ;)

Yeah, I just found out its for the Paparazzi bracket -- that wonderful little side mounted flash.

Just what I needed!
