This is my very first attempt using studio lights. Main Light at camera left, second light aimed at background. C&C is welcome.

How to achieve that with studio lighting I don't know, I just wanted to point it out.. I think this would look a little better if you whitened her teeth a little bit. I am not saying they are yellow but I do think they are getting a color cast from the couch.. Here eyes are dead center in the frame also.. Thank you, Heather.

Let the background fall where it may. The dark skin and hair color would look better against a darker more neutral background. Lighter colors tend to draw the eye. markBLANCHARD Photography
