2nd time shooting at the Rogers Centre, first time with baseball. Played a lot with settings, kind of limited my shooting because I'll see them again the next 2 days with the roof open and better light to replace high noise shots...NN was used...

#1 - Yes it says Nikon in the photo wells in the background, I only saw one guy using Nikon....

it's crazy how much the bat deflects when they're swinging! nice shots!

Thanks, hopefully tomorrow with the roof open will allow for faster shutter and less noise to get it frozen a bit more.

The irony of things, a Nikon ad in a image taken by a Canon camera.

Nice shots as well!

Hey Mike - nice looking shots.

Man those Blue Jays throwback uniforms are horrible. Can't believe they wore them for all the years they did.

I didn't notice the NIKON signs until switching sides, that's when I looked around and saw white lenses everywhere. I believe the team photog was using Nikon and maybe that was it, though can't say for sure.

When I saw them come out in them and heard "throwback Friday" I wasn't jumping for joy, was hoping they would have the whites, but oh well.

300 works well there, 400 would probably be a little too tight for hitters but perfect for pitchers and everywhere else. One thing I did noticed is they had all the lights on this time, when I shot the International Bowl there half the lights were off - they were all on last night.

Looks good Mike, I assume the focusing problem has been fixed.

I had some problems last night with some settings while testing but in good light no problems. They seemed to of fixed the problems, for $600 they better! :)

Nice pics of my favorite team. Go Jays! Looking forward to seeing some of the ones from when the Dome is open. Way better that way. Not even comparable.

I love the retro uniforms by the way.

I have media credentials and shot from the photo pits. For media Rogers Centre is very easy, you can park right by the elevator, someone is in there to take you where you need to go. It takes maybe 10 mins to park, get your gear together, get rosters and other info, then get to the pits to set up.

Did look around a bit in the stands for cameras but the most I saw was a kit lens (maybe at most a 100) on a XT or something similar so not sure the rules.

EDIT: There was a lot more Nikon's today (see OP)! Team photog uses Nikon and really good guy...
