I have a Canon Xti, and am looking for a wide format printer. Staples currently has the Epson 1400 for $299.99 (free shipping on-line). It includes Photoshop elements software.

Is this a great printer for the price, or just not good enough to do the camera justice?

The on-line reviews are good, but I wanted to hear from Canon owners who might have used it.

Thanks.

OK...just got the Epson R1900. I have done a ton of research, and after talking with a guy at the local camera store who uses the Epson R1800, who said he loves his printer. Also Scott Kelby uses Epson printers, which I value a lot of what he has to say.

I will update this thread with photos and impressions of the printer after I set it up and print a couple.
