#1 is a little dark but would be much improved by a tighter crop I think. I prefer the second image for composition and lighting, but I think he blends in with the background a bit too much. Nice timing on the jumps and good focus though, the shots are nice and crisp

Thanks! I was trying to get that darkness on the first one, I think it draws attention to the rider. I tried cropping it on my computer, but with a 4MP camera, you cant crop much. I should have got a closer angle, but I wanted to get the whole feature in. One of those things where you looking at the shots on your pc and say to your self "Damn, should've got another angle."
