Remote camera mount - Help

Can anyone identify the contraption the photog used to mount his remote camera? I see the super clamp, stud and attaching stud, but it's the rest of the mounting plate I can't figure out.

Looked pretty slick. Mounted on a guard rail on the first base side of the field, he had the camera aimed at home plate while he was over on the third base side most of the time.

Although i would be using a safety cable or 2 aswell!

I didn't see the guy install the mount or remove it.

But, that's an 1 1/2"strap wrapped around the post that'll catch the camera if the mount breaks. I don;t think the super clamp is going anywhere.

Yeh, Same strap as i use but i still would not trust it. It would slide down the pole. Safety cables cost $9 and are always a good idea.
