Hy,

Got a 10-22 + 24-105L combo on 40D but i would like a light and polyvalent wide zoom that allows portrait shots and inside shots. f2,8 only, I hesitate so much between sigma 18-50 and tamron 17-50 (canon is too expensive for a lens that a FF do not allowed)

-Each of them does not have fast motor (HSM or ?? for tamron) ?
-Are those zoom really allow portrait shots ?
-Which do you prefer ?
-I'm considering sigma 30mm f1,4HSM too (or 28 f1,8 but this one is not USM ?). But this one will come in addition, because I really need a 50mm like (for a crop, my nifty is really too long !). Maybe I'll do better buying it first ?

Thanx for advices
