Hmm, mine won't focus with the EF12II tube

But I absolutely love the 70-200 2.8L IS!

To focus closer just add the Canon 500D close-up 77mm filter lens to the 70-200mm. All the Nikon users do.

That's what I'm counting on. yes; at 200mm and MFD on a 1.6 crop camera the field of view is roughly 13cm x 9cm. With a 25mm tube a butterfly will fill the frame Current: 5DM3, 6D, 8mm fish, 24-105/4IS, 35/2IS, 70-200/2.8IS, 85/1.8, 100-400/IS v1, lensbaby composer with edge 80, 580's and AB800's

Well, it would obviously depend on the size of the butterfly but I would guess somewhere between 36 and 50mm maybe? This was a good sized butterfly shot with the 70-200 and a 25mm tube, which essentially filled the frame on my 20D: Current: 5DM3, 6D, 8mm fish, 24-105/4IS, 35/2IS, 70-200/2.8IS, 85/1.8, 100-400/IS v1, lensbaby composer with edge 80, 580's and AB800's
