I drove three hours and spent the night for a wedding I was shooting. I got lots of gret photos on the road and at the rehearsal and dinner. The nextday I shot the party getting ready and all was well. When the wedding started my 20D froze up and gave me an error 99. I pulled out the battery and put it back. It looked like all was well but I noticed that when I took a shot the red light didn't go on, so I figured it wasn't writing to the card. Well, that's when I took out the D60. Man, I was trying to sell this thing but have changed my mind, if I had sold it I would have been sunk. I did later get it to work by resetting the settings, however it froze again. The big problem is that the wedding was shot in a Church that was only lit with some candles and whit Christmas lights. I had to shoot at f2.8 and with ISO set to 800. The 20D photos at 800 are awesome, the D60 ones need cleaning. Also the AF on the 20D was great at that low light but the D60 was searching. I pulled it off and the B+G won't even know, but man, what a bummer. I never upgraded the firmware being that I have shot nearly 5,000 photos without a single glitch, I guess I will be doing that today...Dean

I shot a tournament Sat and got the err-99 twice. After replacing the battery it worked ok. Did you replace the battery with a fresh one?

I did, on both occassions. On my way home from the wedding I saw something that I wanted to shoot and the camera worked fine. Go figure. I am hoping that after the firmware upgrade it won't happen again...Dean
