I like the image. The people give a sense of scale and I get a feeling of balance between the light and dark areas within.

Yes the scale of the people seems to impress the magnitude of the power and awe of the sea against the insignificance of man...

If any shot could be served by HDR, it would be this one. The range of brightness is extreme.

I'm not crazy about HDR's but a netreul density filter would have helped you in this shot.
