C&C please, Pretty Orchid

Hi gang,

Would love to gt some C&C for this pic i took in February

Looks like you nailed the exposure and colors of the orchid. However, the background is extremely distracting. The human eye tends to be drawn to areas of brightness so the background leads the viewer there first instead of focusing on the flower. If you were to reshoot, I'd suggest you change the angle of your vantage point - climb up a bit, or stand directly over the orchid and aim the camera downwards - that way you will eliminate the bright sunlit area and capture a more pleasing green background.

Did you pick the orchid and sit it on the water lily leaves? If so, I hope you asked for the owner's permission.

I would fill the image with the flower. The background and foreground are distracting in this one too.

Thats right, picked the Orchid and placed it on the lotus. This was taken at a hotel in Bangkok, milions or orchids around. i didnt ask if i could pick one. LOL.
