Did we learn this in Porn Addicts Anonymous group?:D

Did Junior High get let out early? The guy on desk side washes them 'cause they come with a 4 year warranty... if the washing works, it saves us time shipping it back for replacement.

As titled stated my Gf washed my clothes w/o checking my pockets and i had 2 brand new cards in the case holder in my pockets.

My question is are they ruined?

let it dry and see if it works. However, you're white balance may be off a little.

The brighteners in the fabric softener?

And if the pictures are washed out, she must have used too much bleach? :{)#

Could you store it with some of those silica/silicon papers pouches you can get?

Echo similar comments - if you have access to silica, put them in a bag with some for a few days. I probably wouldn't touch them for at least 3 days in such a situation. I've washed a Motorola Bluetooth headset once. Didn't work for 2 days, but the third day powered right up (after charging) and works to this day!

Strictly speaking, the electronics should survive, but ultimately corrosion will shorten the life... generally the internal contacts these days are gold, so you may be lucky (gold is fairly corrosion-resistant) but I'd mark them and replace them in a year or two when prices come down. Also, if you're shooting an event where you can't lose the pictures no matter what (read income) I'd consider not using those two.

Besides, if you try and claim them with SanDisk, they may claim they've been laundered and we know how illegal that is. :D

Seriously, use them unless your livelihood depends on them.

I put a brand new 8GB iPod Nano through the washer and dryer once.

And a brand new 256MB SD card through both as well.

Both turned out fine. Well, the Nano's backlight died, but it was fine otherwise. The SD card was better the next day, but the iPod took almost a week to dry out enough for it to work.

One thing you can do is dip them in pour alcohol... This will rinse the water out and dissolve the minerals. Alcohol evaporates easier and more completely than water, once its dry give it a shot...

And apologize to your girlfriend for making her feel bad (yes its an assumption, but most likely accurate), thank her for washing your clothes, and stop storing CF Cards in your pockets.

Don't know about the cards, but why not grow up and check your own damn pockets. Either that or maybe she'll dump you and you can go back to mommy.
