Hello everyone,

In August 2004, we Acadians from the world over celebrated the 400th anniversary of our arrival to North America (Acadie) in 1604. The grand event lasted two weeks and finished off with a large concert assisted by more than 10,000 people on Citadel Hill in Halifax, Nova Scotia on August 15th, our National Holiday. The concert was also broadcast live on tv across Canada.

I really did push my Canon digital rebel to the limit that night and probably the 300 pound security guards as well. By the end of the concert I was on the stage as well. Here are a few of the photos I took.

Steve Riley and the Mamo Playboys from Louisiana warm up the crowds
and my granddaughter Marisol as well.

There was as much going on in the crowd as on stage.

Kent County, New Brunswick, CANADA
has to be one of the world's best kept secret. It is bordered by the sea to the east and is made up of small villages, farms, forest, brooks and rivers. I have lived here all my life and
would recommend it to anyone.
