I'm looking for a backpack recommendation to fit all my gears in, the 40D+grip, 580EX, 100-400, 70-200, and 17-55 attached to camera. It would be nice if I can attach my tripod too! :)

Look at a Kata R-103 should fit that perfectly, mine carries my 30D+24-70 attached, Sig 100-300, Sig 150, Toki 12-24, P2000 and 2x and 1.4x TCs

It must be me!

I am interested in a Kata DR-467 camera rucksack/backpack but, for the life of me, I cannot determine by looking at the Kata illustrations or by reading the discription on their website whether the DR-467 will fit my gear. The discription of the capacity reads, "two D/SLR with mounted lens, 3-4 lenses, flash etc." but, I definitely realize that a pair of lenses like the 70-200mm and 300mm f/4L IS are larger than your average lenses and might strain the capacity of the DR-467.

I like the Kata DR-467 because it doesn't scream. "Take me! I am filled with photo gear!" I also like it because Kata has a neat wheeled accessory which converts the DR-467 into a roll around case which would be swell for manuevering through airports.

Does anyone have the Kata-467 and, if so, could you please give me an idea whether my two big lenses and two bodies will fit.

The Kata DR-467 is great and I love suggesting their bags, but the 70-200 and 300 would not really work with it. I can just fit a 40d with 100mm macro attached, but I don't like to as it really stretches it. It is a great bag for shorter focal lengths and primes though, and the price is ridiculously low compared to how well they are made.

Base on what i read here:

I think I'm going to get the Kata R-102, it can fit all my gears in and look stealthy.

The R-102 is a great bag. I got one a few weeks ago and carried it extensively in the last 2 weeks. Amazingly comfortable. I wore it around Savannah, GA in 95 degree heat for about 6 hours and barely noticed the backpack. Being able to attach the camera to the backpack saves your neck on long days. I absolutely love the bag. The only problem is that my wife says I look like a turtle wearing it. ;) I thought I looked pretty darn cool though.
