So I'm home alone and board. And for fun I pulled out the old kit lens and wanted to do a head to head with that and my 17-40L. Then I said hey what about a 30d w/ 18-55, 30d w/ 17-40L, xti w/ 18-55, xti w/ 17-40L. Shot in f/4 and f/8. What would it look like? Purely for fun mind you.
Well they look good to me at f/8 and wide open the L wins. But what I found funny was the 18-55 would meter differently on the two bodies. The 17-40L would meter the same. This I find odd and I don't understand. Did I do something wrong? Or do I f'ed up meter and/or lens?
