I rode into DC yesterday and decided that rather than taking my bag as I normally, I'd take only the 5D and the 50mm 1.4. I love that lens but was torn about leaving my others at home. Well I shot all day and using my manual zoom (moving forward and backward) it did the trick. I shot as a tourist with camera on program, auto everything. Ya know, sometimes, snapshooting can be fun. <G>

Anyway, here is a photo of Sgt. Chambers the Marine who volunteers each year to come and salute all riders in the 'Ride to the Wall' procession. He stands there for 3-4 hours or more at attention. I really admire his tenacity.
