I usually shoot a few random above shots when I'm out, just for future bored nights. I was quite high up this one.

Nice one, mate. Although your processing is way up my list of favourite styles, as you know, I think the fake models need to look real and possibly over-saturated colours like basic model paints. Looks good though :)

cool - although even looking at the pics above their subjects look much more minature without being overly saturated:confused:

Love this thread and finally took some time to give it a whirl. Here are 2 quick ones. I am having a little difficulty with getting the focus plane that I want with the gradient tool, it seems to be hit or miss.
Thanks

I have that same issue...that is why I add a masking layer I think (I can't remember now since I am not looking at it), so I can keep trying with the hit & miss until I get there.

I dunno if there is a better way (without buying the lens!!) on doing a tilt/shift effect easily...

I had another play with this today, was a bit hit and miss too but a couple turned out well I think (the first and last work the best in my opinion - not sure about the others...):

Nice additions to the thread, Mike. The car splashing shot is my personal fave. Horsey shot probably too close to the camera to work?

Have you tried the T/S website mentioned in the first post?

Mike, love the water splash, my favorite. All the others are very nice as well. Good Job.

I like those shots Mike, I do think that the blur/not blur line is a little sudden though. Anyone else?

Thanks, I was worried about that line myself - I couldn't work out how to feather it for a more gradual blur.

I usually have to drag the gradient tool way off the image canvas to get the graduation I like, sometimes zooming out so the image is nothing but an icon almost. If that makes sense.
