^ Nice one of the Hoover Dam.

Anke, my guess is that those bumps are some kind of salt / sulphurous / rock that has not yet been worn away by the sea/ocean - looking at the rest of the water in the background....just a matter of time before they too are eroded away...

these really trip me out...you take a pic and then it turns out looking like lego land. Very cool. I know you can buy and expensive lens for this but what program lets you do the same thing to your pics? Someone mentioned it but i forgot what or where it is.

Read the thread from the beginning...

you can do it via a website - crude, compressed, but gets the job done
PS / Gimp 2 - people have given their methods to get to the end product...

Hey Anke

thanks alot, the photos of the rocks were taken in Taiwan at the Yehliu Geopark there is a big story about the rocks

With the help of sea erosion and weathering, this area has some very distinctive geological features believed to be 10-25 million years old. As the limestone and calcium carbonate surface is more resistant to erosion, the resulting landscape is fractured and filled with giant rocks, pot holes, and fossils

The most famous of these is the Queen's Head rock, which is the iconic landmark for the region. It’s believed the Millennium Queen is about 4,000 years old. Sadly, continuous exposure to wind, sun, and rain has caused the Queen's neck to become thinner through the years.
