They both work well. Not sure which one I like better. The first one has foreground items in it which almost gives it a better look. But I like this too. Can't make up my mind. Either way, great shot!

Wow!!! How high were you?

About 1100 feet :) Was in a float plane when I took it.

That explains it!

It's "rainy season" here now, so I'm just hoping for a few clear moments between now and mid-July otherwise, the camera stays mainly in it's bag.

But I've been thinking about lower-level shots too, and found a bridge over a railway with a station to the left. IF the weather clears, and IF there's a carpark nearby, I'm going to try to grab a shot from the bridge....if I get the shot, it'll be on here soon....
:D

Nice ones Compact, but I'm not sure number 2 works with that branch in the foreground.

I agree....the non-horizontal OOF seems to detract a little too.
Still great pics, but I instantly think, "real".

From my recent holiday in Singapore and New Zealand. This one is a waiting area at Singapore's Changi Airport that I've tried to miniaturize. Not sure it came out so good.

Thanks for the feedback. This was my first attempt and the pics were from long ago, just threw them up out of excitement from the thread listing an easy way to accomplish the effect...

Hey CD! If you look back in the thread, you'll see some really crappy attempts from me, so don't worry about yours looking "not quite right". I think this is one of the most fun threads recently, wherein everybody is learning and helping each other learn too!

I like it. It's a cool concept too, as most include streets or buildings. This is like inside a model airport instead.
