Here's the before and after. Any and all feedback appreciated. Especially regarding the tone of the main boat.

I'm with Flo. I tend to like warmer photos better, anyway, but the lighting feels much truer to me in the first one. Nice composition, btw. This space for rent.

May 27, 2008 12:38 | #4 The sky really was more vivid and darker than it appears in the first photo. I really think the sky is much more accurate in the 2nd. I think the hue in the boat is what's setting the mood of the pictures, and will try to work with that some more. I'm still not quite happy with it in the 2nd as it looks a little off to me. Thanks for the comments.

It seems a little incongruous to me, given that the camera is pointing to the setting sun. Two light sources. Joe

Jun 09, 2008 14:21 | #7 Yes, there was a street lamp just off the stern (to my right of the shot). So I'm trying to correct for tungsten lighting on the boat while the rest is natural light. The sun was actually already down for at least an hour. We had dinner after sunset, then I took this on our walk back to the hotel. While the first 2 people liked the original shot more, the latter pics are much closer to how the sky really appeared. I guess another question is what shots do or don't look believable, and why? My goal is to have this looking natural, not overdone.
