Bobby's right on with the second...I almost always shoot batters from the same side they are (left for lefties if that wasn't clear). If I am shooting from the opposite side, I consider it lucky circumstance to have any keepers unless they happen to be watching a hit ball. Scott Evans Photography

More info | May 27, 2008 16:27 | #7 I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a correct side or not, but I usually shoot them so I can see their face when batting. Meaning righties from 1st base side and lefties from 3rd base side. I have good pictures of righties and lefties from both sides. A lot of it depends on the batters swing and how much they open after they swing or coming out of the box. The batter coming out of the box is one of my all time favorite shots. Look at my SS page, you'll see pics of both right and left handed batters shot from both sides of the plate. Chris
