On average, how many raw photos can you get on 1 battery with a 40d?
if you add a grip with a 2nd battery, do you get double that or can it be more than double what a single battery is alone?

I alway use an external flash if I need one so I cant comment on the pop up other than its the worst flash you can possibly use. [Gear List | Flickr

Grip lets me switch to one battery while the other charges and then I swap until I have both back in the grip.

Jun 10, 2008 09:54 | #10 I'm thinking of using the AA's and cartridge as a back up to my 2 batteries in my grip. I'll be away from electricity for a few days. Probably wont' need them, but I want to have back up.
