Just messing around with my new Xsi with kit lens (EF-S 18-55mm SI) and this is what i got after DPP.

Please give comments and suggestions

Very poorly framed. I don't like the way the frame cuts through the foot and the top of the head.

I do think the sepia toning gives a nice tonal range.

I think you need a more noticeable catchlight in her eyes.

The focal length used is too short for portraits. You shoul not use anything shorter than 85 mm in a 35 mm film camera (in digital with a 1.6 crop factor it's about 50 mm as the minimum focal length). You're getting away with it here with little noticeable distortion.

i agree with the above. had the potential to be a great picture. i'm not so sure about the sepia...i like the natural colors of babies.
