I'm going to be attending the Brazil/Canada match (in Seattle, WA) in a few days and wanted to get an idea as to whether or not I can bring a camera and tripod into the stadium; yes, no, perhaps. I'm not a big sports fan, so I don't know the rules regarding cameras in stadiums. Thanks.

I think every venue has it's own rules about the matter. Some have lens restrictions, some have camera or tripod/monopod restrictions, and some just tell you that there are no restrictions other than not to get in anyone's way. Regardless of the restrictions, I'm pretty sure all reserve the right to ask you to stop taking photos if need be.

From my experience, I would just call the stadium/venue ahead of time and ask. Or check out their website. If they have something on the web, you can print it out and bring it with you so you don't get hassled by security.

This is my Camera.
There are many like it, but (

I can't say for camera, since everyone has their own rules. For tripod I'm sure you won't be able to bring it in. Even with proper photo accreditations, tripod are usually big no (monopods are different thing).

Ok, I just called the stadium. No cameras with detachable lenses are allowed. How the **** did anyone arrive upon a no detachable lens rule? Does anyone know a way around this?
